Low-tech Notebooks

MoleskineLifehacker rates paper-based notebooks - those that are intended strictly for off-grid use. They had readers vote for either Moleskine, Field Notes, Circa Modular Notebook, Chronotebook, Myndology Keyring Notebooks, or the ever-popular None of the Above.

Of the 3578 votes cast as of 04/13/2008, Moleskine was the clear winner, getting the nod of approval from nearly 2/3 of Lifehacker readers. Circa Modular was second, with NotA third.

These no-tech notebooks are small and light-weight, have a very long-battery life, are virus-proof & hacker-proof and are powered by a processor estimated to operate at about 100 teraflops (i.e., you). On the down side, display size is smallish and content transfer can be a pain.
