Till the date, we have come across a host of lavish home theater set-ups, including the Death Star Theater, Titanic home theater, Star Trek home theater, Batcave theater room, Indiana Jones-themed home theater, the $3.4 million In-house cinema, state-of-the-art $100K Five-in-One home theater, Cyberdyne Cinema, and the Jeremy Kipnis’ $6 Million Home Theater. Well, you must have been living in caves if you haven’t heard of the Swiss audio manufacturer, Goldmund, The firm behind the $300K Turntable, $300K Media Room, and the $17,000 Eidos 20 BD Blu-ray player has now made the New Yorker Mark Rosen spend $500,000 on an ultra-luxury surround sound home theater. The firm is quite famed for setting up luxurious and high-tech home theater set-ups. They have made more than 100 successful installations in the last two years and the price ranges from $500,000 to over $1 million. A Goldmund home theater is not about gold and crystals, but craftsmanship. Their equipment share simplistic European styling. Anyhow, most of the well heeled who own Goldmund equipment install their systems behind the scenes.

Let’s take a look at what Mark Rosen’s ultra-luxe home theater comprises of. His luxe system includes Mimesis 24 Universal Preamplifier, Eidos 36D Universal Player, four Telos 2500 Universal Mono Amplifier, Epilogue 1 Satellite Speaker Pair, Epilogue 2 Woofer Section Pair, Epilogue 1&2 Frame Assembly, Logos 1 Active Speaker Pair, Logos Foot Stand Pair, Goldmund Speaker Cable(x4), Goldmund Power Cords(x8), and Lineal Digital Audio Cable (x7). The total system cost arrives at a whopping $497,093.

All the Goldmund’s ingeniously engineered audio components are made in Geneva labs and if they find any need for the components they don’t make in-house, they simply buy one from the market, yank it and then install it. Goldmund is known for producing outrageously priced audio and video equipments and their products can never be spotted in the stores like Best Buy, Circuit City or Amazon.com. Their products are for the super-rich only who want the best and don’t care about the rest.
