Those high-tech Finns are now able to open select public toilets with SMS. The move comes after continued and endemic vandalism, and the country’s Road Administration hopes the “open by SMS” can reduce the number of toilets beings demolished.The system is easy to use, and in order to do “their thing,” people will have to send a text message “OPEN” to the number given on the door. The call is directed to a modem, which then sounds a buzzer and opens the door. Using the toilet remains free, and people will be charged just the normal SMS rate…
