Industrial waste recycling has been taken to an all new level at Guy Robot. Well, the Guy Robots are not run-of-the-mill toys, but unique pieces of handcrafted art, meant to be enjoyed visually and displayed prominently. The piece parts that go into each Guy Robot come from a range of industrial segments, including aerospace and avionics surplus suppliers, automotive salvage yards, long-haul microwave equipment recyclers, decommissioned plumbing and refrigeration remnants, vintage hand-tool swap-meet winnings. Once all this junk, er, supplies, are collected and completely sterilized, the makers then sit down to tailor the different materials into different parts for the robot’s. Many processes like slide rule calculations to metallurgical alloying transform the pieces of industrial junk to these absolutely wild and wacky living room adornments. The wide range of robot’s that Guy Robot makes have witty names and wittier descriptions, ranging from Euclid, the introvert to even Konrad, the cable tensile strength inspector.

In case you thought the robots actually perform all these tasks, no, they don’t. These names are just to add a dash of fun to these industrial waste based robot models. These robots, robot models rather, are not meant to walk or talk, or even mind your pets. They just will hang around like sculptures in your living room and add just a bit of pizzaz to your life space. These robots some in a plethora of sizes from a tiny 6 inches to pygmyish 20 inches with many in between sizes.

You can bring home one of these for $500 for the cheapest one to $1475 for the top-of-the-line model. The next time you trash something, you never know where it might end up, maybe even in somebody’s living room. Check out more in the gallery.
