I don't really report on many remote control toys, but the booth at CES 2008 got by attention. The operator used the controls to take the i-Fly Vamp all around the area, and just when I thought he had lost it, he took it back into a controlled flight.

The device comes with a charger, and the i-Fly has a built in lithium polymer battery for 20-30 minutes. The controller takes 6 AA batteries.

This Vamp is an ornithopter, which flies by sheer flapping of wings. I believe Interactive Toy plans to replace it with the Da Vinci, named after a design that appears in Da Vinci's journals.

You can get the i-Fly Vamp for about $39.99-49.99.
