Technitium MAC Address Changer is a freeware application that allows you to change Media Access Control (MAC) Address of your Network Interface Card (NIC) irrespective of the card manufacturer or its driver.
It does this by writing the new value into the registry for ‘NetworkAddress’ under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1- 08002bE10318}\[ID of NIC]. When the network adapter is initialized, Windows searches for the registry value ‘NetworkAddress’ for the MAC address. If it does not find one, it uses the MAC address hard coded by the NIC manufacturer.
