Photostream Can View Flickr Images in Google Android Phones
2008-09-05 07:05:22 by Mariella Moon in Mr.Gadget Australia

Yeah, we’re yet to see the first Google Android-based phone, but just like the early announcement of a Chrome mobile web browser for the Android, Google released a sample application of Photostream. The application would let users browse photos stored in Yahoo-owned Flickr.

According to CNET AU, Photostream was originally intended for use as a tool to showcase a variety of Android features. To access Flickr using the program, all you need to have is account with the photo-sharing service. Using Photostream, users can browse people’s photos both individually and in groups and create shortcuts to various Flickr accounts. Google allows developers to use the Photostream source code to allow access to Flickr on other mobile devices. You can find the instructions at the Android Developers blog.
