AirRemote is another cool software app for the iPhone & iPod Touch, which allows you to use the iPhone or iPod Touch to control almost everything in your house remotely. The AirRemote app needs another piece of hardware to function as a universal remote for your home. The Global Cache GC-100 Network Adapter, which costs you around $150 that should work with the AirRemote app when it comes out in the Apple App Store on July 11th this year.

The AirRemote app has been designed to work with a few home automation systems such as AMX and Crestron. Which are the kind of home automation systems that allow users who own a high-tech home to operate those lightings, security, audio/video, thermostats, as long as they’re hooked up to these home-auto systems.

The AirRemote app also adds a nifty feature to CoverFlow on the iPhone or iPod Touch, which it links all the cover art to the web to retrieve more information about each particular song etc. Everything sounds so cool, but the AirRemote app isn’t free. It needs you to pay $100 to get it from App Store.
