Dilemma! What's a Google-devoted but equally Firefox-loving geek to do? When Google broke the news over the holiday weekend that they were releasing a new browser called Chrome, I was excited, but also a little guilty-feeling since I use and adore Firefox.

Google Chrome promises a faster and simpler interface, which sound great (the download is still only available to PC users, btw), but I'll have to play around a bit before I decide to make the switch. Considering that 65% said you were Firefox users in last year's browser poll, I assume many of you are also pretty content with Mozilla's browser. But the question begs to be asked — will you download Chrome's browser (that is, if you haven't already)?

LG is not a popular brand for cell phone in my country. But I must admit that they have some wonderful handsets, such as LG KU990 (a.k.a Viewty) and this new KC910 model. Packed with a host of photography and multimedia capabilities, the touch-based mobile device offers an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optic lens and Xenon flash, a 3-inch 262K colors display with a resolution of 240×400, TV out port, VGA video recording capability @ 30fps, and XviD and DivX video playback support.

Not just for entertainment enthusiasts, those who travel a lot and needs good mobility would adore the LG KC910 handset, thanks to the addition of integrated GPS navigation, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, quad-band GSM support, USB interface, Bluetooth, and microSD memory card slot. No words on pricing yet, but the phone will be released very soon in October, so at least you can start saving from now on.

Well, eventhough we can't exactly define this giant as a motorcycle still the uniqueness effect what we adore and appreciate. Greg Dunham spent $300,000 on parts in 3 years while building 'monster cycle'. This massive motorcycle stands at 15 feet tall and rider (driver) sits in a special cage to control it.

We have possibly the biggest motorbike for Guinness now, but I went to Google to find the longest one and it comes from Russia by Oleg Rogov officially registered by Guinness.
I don't think that he had that much money as Greg spent. He just listened his creative inner voice.

The saddest part is that Oleg died in an accident a year ago. Rest in Peace Oleg !
This article is a tribute to you.

Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit, because it's my personal belief that I have found one of the most perfect home tech organizers ever. Yes, ever. I flipped for Griffin's Powerdock the other day for its integration of my gadgets, but Pottery Barn has one-upped everyone with their Smart All-in-One.

Not only does it combine a charging station with iPod speakers (and it includes the six-socket power strip inside), it's a compact, beautiful design that'll synergize with a fabulous interior.

The one drawback is that it's $169, but if I know Pottery Barn, I know this baby'll be on sale before I forget about it and move on to my next favorite home tech accessory. I happen to adore the mod lacquered pea green, but if that's not your thing, the All-in-One is also available in ivory, black, and red.

How we adore you. Each year there's always one speaker who shows up and completely undermines something that most people assume is rock solid. This year, our pals at Hack-A-Day were in attendance to hear Nate Lawson expose California's FasTrak toll system for the security hole that it is. Essentially, toll transponders that are purchased and slapped onto vehicles offer up exactly no authentication, meaning that anyone with an ill will and an RFID reader could wander through a parking lot and lift all sorts of useful information. Think it can't get worse? The transponders reportedly support "unauthenticated over the air upgrading," which means that each tag could be forced to take on a new ID if the right equipment was present. We don't have to spell out "potential disaster" for you, now do we?

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

The tried-and-true Hamburger phone is still our fav (what, there a problem with that?), but Marc Schömann's baton-styled concept phone is very worthy of a look. Laden with LEDs and ready to be turned, users can dial up friends and family in painstakingly long procedures that involve all sorts of inefficient rotating maneuvers. Still, we can't help but adore the hat tip to yesteryear's rotary phones, though we have no doubts that this will never, ever see a retail shelf. Please, someone, prove us wrong.

[Via PhoneMag]

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

In a sharply-worded review up at its Game|Life blog, Earnest Cavalli slams it as "almost entirely lacking" the series' iconic charm. And a review it certainly is, with little in the way of hedging to conceal the author's judgment, even of a storyline he saw only half an hour of.

It really feels like someone wrote a fanfic based on the Fallout universe and somehow got the funding to create a game based on it. ... I predict a heavy backlash from long-time fans. At best Fallout 3 will be the blacksheep of the series: An oddity played only for completion's sake by those who absolutely adore the original games.

Grist for the mill for those who want it to fail. For the rest of us, sigh. If nothing else, it's a reply to those who insist that one must play a game to completion before setting the lead. Thirty minutes!
