30-08-2008: During the IFA in Berlin was a monstrous Samsung announcement of toestelllen up at twelve. Some gave a real-life glory, others were only behind glass.

By Willeke de Haas - Samsung grabbed these days during the IFA in Berlin considerably by only the twelve new aircraft launch. A good number for one, for mobile concepts, small scholarship, but obviously a very good move given the competition from other mobile brands during the IFA far to seek. Divided over the prepaid segment, mid and top segment of the market with the focus on different target groups, such as music, dual-sim and robustness Samsung showed today face a wide again to continue. Below is a brief overview of the twelve newcomers.

Samsung M150
Intended for the prepaid segment of the market and with only 13 millimeters thick, the Samsung M150 also known as the "Mobile Calling Card". If you just want to call, SMS and perhaps want to listen to music and a snapshot make you sit at the Samsung M150 in the right place. The device is nice to use, offers handy buttons and has a good standby and call time.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksdPBEtwI/AAAAAAAA9Do/ogIDVpApdPE/s320/s.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268522181146370" />
Samsung M150

The Samsung M150 offers a stereo FM radio and Samsung for this course provides a standard stereo headset. On the back is an easy VGA camera through the menu to reach. The device is available in different colors, as you yourself want to sign up for the free reminder service of the full potential of the device want to see you take a look at the Samsung M150 specification page.

Samsung S7330
This slider appeared earlier in the rumours circuit and was for the first time, albeit behind glass, to admire. The Samsung S7330 is a beautiful medium with an additional Interactpad, a 3.2 megapixel camera, music player and stereo FM radio.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksdR9G5TI/AAAAAAAA9Dw/E03QajT67rE/s320/s1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268522969818418" />
Samsung S7330

The Samsung S7330, like the Samsung U900 Soul become a Interactpad. This mini touchpad acts as a navigation button, and with a simple touch you can reach your favorite features, a possibility open or operate the music player. For the Internet, the device on UMTS and HSDPA support

Also for the Samsung S7330 you can sign up for our free reminder service for the first to know if the device are in stores. You sign up for this service and the full specifications of the slider can see you are doing here.

Samsung B210
Although this does not live during the IFA has had to admire the Samsung B210 yet announced during the IFA in Berlin. The Samsung B210 is a slim player for the prepaid segment and primarily intended for calling and SMS, the device has no integrated camera. The display of the candy is a 65,000 colour screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels.

For what musical support is a stereo FM radio through the present which included stereo headset can be used. Useful applications like a calendar, alarm function, the date and time and what little games are naturally present in the candy. Also for the Samsung B210 you can sign up for the reminder service, and for this to the full potential of the device to see you here.

Samsung B130
The Samsung B130 is a player for the prepaid market, only carried out in the discrete color black, the Samsung B130 made for the die-hard prepaid user. None straightforward as a camera, music player or FM radio, only just call and SMS, something that the mobile phone in the first instance is made. Because the device offers no multimedia feature is also known understandable that the very sharp price will be.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksdrgKBQI/AAAAAAAA9D4/DP1W0m_2xwk/s320/s2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268529827710210" />
Samsung B130

Despite the Samsung B130 really designed for the prepaid segment, the device still a surprisingly beautiful beeldschermpje with 65,000 colors and 128 x 128 pixels. The dual-band candy has no music player but it is possible to polyphonic and MP3 ringtones as ringtones as a precaution. Very many ringtones can not be seen opgslagen the device only a standard memory.

For a reminder notification to the service of an overview of all possibilities that the Samsung B130 offers you the Samsung B130 specification page.

Samsung D980 DUOS
With virtually the same specifications as the Samsung F480 TouchWiz the Samsugn D980 is the brother of dual-sim this touchscreen candy. The advantage of a dual-sim device is that you have two SIM cards into the device and places can also be reached at the same time may be ideal if you want to combine business with private but not two mobile phones to take them.

The Samsung F480 proved a very popular device because it bears the TouchWiz intuitive interface whereby a Widget bar provides information on your calendar, for example, your photos, birthdays, etc. Here is attached to the back of the candy a very comprehensive 5 megapixel camera that various possibilities.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksHyiawOI/AAAAAAAA9DA/5JXXvHTBMBQ/s320/s3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268153759121634" />
Samsung D980 DUOS

The 262,000 touchscreen reacts surprisingly quickly to contact which functions directly opened. A small change compared with the Samsung TouchWiz is that the device no UMTS and HSDPA support but only GPRS. This is of course the Internet is still reachable, just not as fast as on the Samsung F480.

For a notification to our free reminder service and an overview of all possibilities that the Samsung D980 DUOS offers, go to its exact specifications.

Samsung E215
Unfortunately, the Samsung E215 not be admired in Berlin, but we have for you the specifications of these prepaid clamshell can get. The slider offers a stereo FM radio and 65,000 color display.

Bluetooth support makes it easy ringtones or other files can send and receive. Completely water and dusproof the Samsung B2700 against Knocks. The device has additional opportunities as a pedometer, altimeter and compass, the latter works very well and very accurate we noticed.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksIe1C_cI/AAAAAAAA9DQ/rfri5qyycTY/s320/s5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268165648416194" />
Samsung B2700

Of course you can just call and SMS with the Samsung B2700, but also it is possible to listen to music on the stereo FM radio and music player. Although the device almost anywhere tegenkan it is still possible through MicroSD memory cards to the 20 MB internal memory to expand, ideal for fun ringtones and music. Photos can make with the Samsung B2700 unfortunately not, this would be the robustness of the device, however, have also severely damaged so we find this quite strange.

On the Samsung B2700 specifications page gives you an overview of the full capabilities and here you can also sign up for our free reminder system.

Samsung B300
The Samsung B300 is a device that we really should not have admired in Berlin, but we managed to obtain official specifications. An FM stereo radio and music player are on board, unfortunately, no camera. The display is a 65,000 colour screen with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and GPRS support is available to send MMS messages.

The Samsung B300 offers the possibility polyphonic and MP3 ringtones to set up the internal memory is not so extensive that the music player this could be used. The memory can not be extended. The full potential of the Samsung B300 can be viewed at its specification page, where you yourself can also register for the free reminder system.

Samsung P180
Or the device eventually will come to Canada really is not clear, the Samsung P180 is a UMA device which made it possible to make a call via the Internet through a WiFi connection. In addition to the UMA support the Samsung P180 is actually more a device for the prepaid market, it has a VGA camera, 65,000 colour screen, music player and only 14 MB internal memory.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksIS-h6gI/AAAAAAAA9DY/mjFwPlx2E5o/s320/s6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268162466966018" />
Samsung P180

Despite the Samsung P180 "only" a GPRS vernbinding has the clamshell still offers the possibility to use the Internet and e-mail to read. This of course has to do with the WiFi connection that the device also offers a connection that supernsnel and you will naturally rather use this as possible.

All information about the Samsung P180 can be viewed at its specification page, you will find yourself the opportunity to sign up for the free reminder system.

Samsung M200
The Samsung M200 is the hekkensluiter today and that is a good thing because otherwise we would have the wood for the trees no longer see. The Samsung M200 is also carried out as candy and offers a 1.3 megapixel camera and 32 MB memory expandable so you have enough pictures and music can hold. The device offers a music player and stereo FM radio, but also the possibility of using a GPRS connection to the Internet and e-mail.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/SLksIvGfgcI/AAAAAAAA9Dg/KKwehlM78Oc/s320/s7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240268170016555458" />
Samsung M200

It lacks the Samsung M200 does not meet various applications and the 262,000 colour screen, it also lends itself perfectly. If you have a free e-mail to receive when in the shops is you can take a look at its specifications page, here is an overview of all the possibilities that the candy.

source

Zigo Bicycle for you and your child

Going green is definitely on the go and it seems unstoppable. With all the environmental concerns as well as the oil price hikes, bicycles serve to be a good alternative for short distance travels. That is why more bicycle innovations are making their way on the market. One is the creation of Zigo Leader.
Zigo bicycles are bikes that allow users to carry their child while on the go.

The bike is equipped with a childpod that is attached to front part of the bicycle. It is very ideal because watching over the child is much easier. This new bicycle is using the Zigo’s LeaderLink System in which the “leader” or the driver can detach the childpod from bike resulting to two separate bikes in less than 30 seconds. Once the childpod is detached, the user can have a regular bike, a three wheel carrier bike and a stroller.

The design is perfect for you if you have kids but have no one to look after them when you need to go outside of the house. For example, when you need to go to the nearest grocery store to buy something, instead of leaving your child alone in the house of carrying him or them across the street, you can use the Zigo bike with the childpod.

Zigo Leader landed the markets of USA and Canada just last April.

Delta Electronics might've jumped the gun a bit with its claim of firsties on Texas Instruments' new "PhlatLight" HD LED DLP projector tech. Delta hasn't brought even a prototype to IFA, but over at Texas Instruments there's a Vivitek version of the lamp-free projector tech, which TI claims will be the first to market sometime in Q4 of 2008. The specs they rattled off are undoubtedly impressive: 50% better color range, 500,000:1 contrast ratio, 30% less power draw, and of course 1080p to put a feather in the cap. In TI's darkened viewing room the image was certainly impressive, but we're guessing specs like these could carry over nicely into our less-than-ideal bedsheet setup back home.

[Via Engadget Spanish]

Gallery: Texas Instruments' new LED-based DLP projection shines in person, due Q4

Permalink | Email this | Comments

Motorola Z10

Look! Hardware that breaks – on purpose! Shattered warranties aside, the Z10’s apparent bendy kick-slide design skews towards the flashy end of the spectrum, but hey, we’re not shallow. We care about what’s on the inside, too. But in the case of the Z10, after we took a good honest look at the interior, it turns out an innovative design is about the only thing this phone has going for it.

Though it’s billed as a “pocket-sized mobile studio,” this 4-ounce, platinum-trimmed phone is certainly no substitute for even a mediocre mini-camcorder (Exhibit A: the Flip Mino). So why drop $500 on the Z10 when you can get a 5MP camphone (Exhibit B: the Nokia N82) that shoots crisper stills and comparable vids? Beats us. Maybe it's the intuitive editing suite: the Z10’s storyboard feature let us cut together a montage of clips and pics with cinematic fades, circle dissolves, music and title cards in less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the OS wasn’t nearly as user-friendly. We literally had to break out the instruction manual just to send a Bluetooth pic (no joke).

Had Motorola spent even half as much time making the software as innovative as its break-away hardware, the Z10 would have wowed us. But with its lacking OS and underwhelming camera, the phone didn’t feel ready for primetime. —Steven Leckart

WIRED 30 fps vid clips don’t look too shabby. Quick, easy uploading to YouTube and Shozu. Storyboarding was a cinch. Camera shortcut button, plus auto-focus, great for snapping pics on the fly. Easy-to-access external microSD card slot is ready for 32GB.

TIRED 2.2-inch screen isn’t ideal for peeping videos. Only 3.2MP cam? (Tarantino wouldn’t settle for less than 5MP). Only a measly 1GB microSD included. Nav and Symbian UIQ more difficult to penetrate than Fort Knox. Curved slider makes lower keypad buttons harder to press.

For some strange and sick reason, Samsung is one of those manufacturers who doesn't think that girl power is the future of gadgetry, and instead assumes that all digital camera buyers are sex-obsessed...

For some strange and sick reason, Samsung is one of those manufacturers who doesn't think that girl power is the future of gadgetry, and instead assumes that all digital camera buyers are sex-obsessed men, basement World of Warcraft players with a large hadron collider for all things leather and large female attributes, all of them eager to try their new Fall 2008 camera lineup on a blonde riding a bike. And they are right. Miss Samsung Biker Girl, we love you (but not more than we love Miss IFA).

Here's their full line of cameras for Fall 2008:

NV100HD – The Ultimate HD Experience
Thanks to the resolution of 14.7 megapixels and a 28mm wide-angle Schneider lens with focal length and 3.6x optical zoom, the NV100HD garanties sharp, clear and detailed images with every shot. Being at present the most sophisticated point-and-shoot digital camera in the Samsung portfolio, the NV100HD continues the success of it's predecessor, the NV24HD, with high-definition 720p video function and Dual Image Stabilization.

The NV100HD scores with it's all metal building and silver finish. A red highlight adds to the camera’s elegance, providing a modern flare to the impressive design. Although compact, a 3 inch touch-screen hVGA (460K pixels) LCD with Samsung’s Smart Touch 2.0 technology dominates the back of the camera, giving the user convenient access the camera’s dynamic features and advanced controls – all by a gentle touch of his finger. This does not only enhance the user's experience but provides for a much more appealing design.

NV9 – Built for Mobility, Designed for Style
Samsung’s NV9 is an ultra compact, 10.2 megapixel digital camera featuring a large 2.7 inch LCD, internal 5x optical zoom and Dual Image Stabilization. The NV9 offers a variety of latest multimedia gadgets like personal media player, MP3 and text viewer for perfect entertainment.

The NV9 has a metal body measuring 95x59.9x21.3mm and incorporating a unique design element – the “Mini Dashboard”. Small gauges next to the power button display remaining battery life and memory capacity making it easy for the user to survey.. Enhanced sensitivity of the NV9’s CCD sensor and Dual Image Stabilization guarantee images in low-light situations, especially when the use of a flash is not desired.

Users also benefit from a comprehensive suite of automatic controls designed to help them capture better images, portraits and group shots of family and friends in particular. The NV9’s Face Detection Technology makes it easy taking snapshots of one's family and friends, as it detects up to nine faces and automatically focuses and exposures for perfect composition and image quality. Furthermore, Smile Shot technology detects changes in the expression of the subject and automatically takes a photo while Blink Detection ensures that the subject’s eyes are open – which is often difficult to distinguish on an LCD screen.

L310W – Never Miss a Smiling Face
The ideal camera for intermediate users, the L310W offers features that normally come along with high-end and more expensive digital cameras, thus an impressive resolution of 13.6 megapixels, Dual Image Stabilization, 2.7 inch LCD, and a 3.6x, 28mm wide-angle optical zoom lens that significantly improves the user’s ability to photograph the desired scenery.

Different from standard 35mm lenses the L310W’s 28mm wide-angle lens permits the user to explore his creativity. Users can easily leverage the increased viewing angle of the L310W’s wide-angle lens, especially when shooting landscapes or groups of family and friends.

The L310W offers further user-friendly features, including 11 scene modes, Auto Red Eye Fix and MPEG-4 video recording, Beauty Shot, Self Portrait, Face Detection, Blink Detection, and Smile Shot technology, enhancing the digital imaging experience.

The L310W also offers Function Description and a Photo Help Guide. Function Description provides a brief and easy-to-understand description of each setting when scrolling through the camera’s menu, helping the user determine which setting matches best his scenario. The camera’s Photo Help Guide is another intuitive component of the camera. Photo Help Guide offers a guided tour of how to take better images as well as easy-to-follow tips instructing on how to obtain excellent results.

L201 – Style Slimmed to Perfection
The Samsung L201 is an ultra-slim, compact point-and-shoot digital camera featuring a resolution of 10.2 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens and 2.7-inch intelligent LCD that automatically brightens or dims with the exposure to light.

For added versatility, the new L201 features Face Detection, Self Portrait, and Digital Image Stabilization technology. Face Detection Technology makes it easy taking snapshots of one's family and friends, as it detects up to nine faces and automatically focuses and exposures for perfect composition and image quality. The unique Self Portrait mode makes it easy to take a self portrait: When in Self Portrait mode, the L201 automatically detects the user’s face, adjusts focus and exposure, and will only shoot a photo if the subject is centred within a given frame. Samsung’s improved Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) further helps the user capture blur-free images.

With 11 scene modes the camera enables to capture the most superb image. In addition, the L201 features Function Description and a Photo Help Guide. Function Description provides a brief and easy-to-understand description of each setting when scrolling through the camera’s menu, helping the user determine which setting matches best his scenario.

As we saw in the Sony IFA 2008 Liveblog, these new Sony Cybershot digital 10.1 megapixel cameras also shoot HD video (720p, though that's not mentioned in the press release.) The T500 has a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 5x optical zoom, 3.5-inch touchscreen, eight-person face tracking, and something called "Double Anti-blur" technology which combines high sensitivity (for fast shutter times) with optical image-shake reduction. It can also connect directly to your HDTV and do slideshows, music and video shows without needing a PC. It's due October, price info still to be announced. Press release below.

IFA Berlin, 28th August 2008 - Everyone’s spoiled for choice with the camera that thinks it’s a camcorder. Now it’s easy to capture your favourite moments as sumptuous stills or HD movie clips with the slim, stylish new Cyber-shot™ T500 from Sony.

Available in a choice of eye-catching piano black, silver and red finishes, the chic T500 is packed with Sony technology to help everyone take better-looking pictures.

Alongside sparkling 10.1 effective megapixel still image quality, it’s the first Cyber-shot™ that captures crisp, clear HD movie clips with stereo sound. New HD movie mode allows continuous shooting time of up to 10 minutes per clip. In total up to 60 mins (approx) of video content can be stored on the supplied 4GB Memory Stick™. Movie files are recorded in ‘PC-friendly’ MPEG4 AVC/H.264 format. This offers great HD picture quality while keeping files down to a minimum size for convenient saving, sharing and viewing via the web or email.

Not sure whether that special moment deserves a photo or a video clip? It’s easy to switch instantly between still and movie modes at the touch of a comfortably placed button on top of the camera. You can even grab crisp still images (1280x720 pixels) without interrupting video shooting.

The superb Carl Zeiss lens features a new ring-type Zoom button, allowing easy adjustment throughout the 5x range while you’re shooting movies.

Detail-packed stills and video clips can be viewed on the extra-large wide 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD. As well as giving a beautiful view of your images, the touchscreen also makes operation of camera functions beautifully simple. Touching anywhere on the screen while you’re composing a shot locks focus on that part of the scene.

Touching a face turns on Face Detection, ensuring that people’s faces in the scene are in sharp focus and with perfect exposure for fewer spoiled shots. Up to eight faces can be tracked at a time, making the T500 ideal for capturing large groups of friends and family.

Shooting handheld without flash can mean blurred pictures, especially when light levels are low or with telephoto shots. Optical SteadyShot is teamed with an improved High Sensitivity mode to allow faster shutter speeds. This ‘Dual Anti-blur’ solution is complemented by Clear RAW Noise Reduction for clean, natural images, even in low-light conditions like parties or twilight.

After you’ve finished shooting, HD Slide Shows add an extra dimension of enjoyment to your collection of photos and videos. Pick from a choice of musical accompaniments, or import your favourite music track from a connected PC.

If you want an even bigger picture, still images and HD movie clips can be experienced with extra impact on your HD Ready television. Connected via HDMI™ to your Sony HD TV, BRAVIA™ Sync allows on-screen control of Cyber-shot™ playback functions using the TV’s remote control.

Supplied Picture Motion Browser software makes it easy to browse and manage pictures and HD movie files on your PC, upload your favourite moments to image sharing sites – or email them to friends and family.

The Cyber-shot™ T500 will be available from October 2008.
