To commemorate the 105th birthday of one of the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, Fender has gone out and built a guitar, but not just any guitar as you can see from the pictures. Apart from the nickel, chrome and lots and lots of black, there are some really nice touches that meld the strat to the bike much more than a mere logo could ever do. The socket head Allen screws are of the same type that Harley Davidson uses and of course the color scheme are the primary examples, but it is also the choice of materials.

More pictures after the jump.

If you like bikes and play guitars, then this is something special, but you are probably going to need to be Slash to afford one of these. There are only three being made and the bidding starts from $7,500.

Who’d know that Sony would actually delve into the world of GPS navigation as well? I thought that the consumer electronics giant were pretty happy with their line up of flat TVs, high definition gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, but a Personal Navigation Device (PND)? Word has it that Sony recently announced four new PNDs under the model numbers NV-U94T, NV-U84, NV-U74T and NV-U44. In addition to helping you get around, these PNDs will include more brand icons, search functionality as well as photo viewing features so that you won’t get too bored while locating where’s the next rest room while you’re on the freeway.

What do you expect from these? I suppose you can always purchase a GPS add-on if you already own a PSP, but if you don’t find gaming to be your primary pursuit, then any of these four PNDs sound like pretty solid purchases. First of all we have the flagship NV-U94T that comes with new features such as a photo viewer, audio and video playback, and stereo Bluetooth technology that makes it a snap to stream audio wirelessly while carrying out hands-free conversations with a compatible cell phone. The Memory Stick slot is there, ready to receive photos always.

The GPS satellites broadcast signals can easily be distorted by tall buildings, very dense foliage, or blocked altogether when underground. When this happens, GPS devices can easily give a false location. Sony developed POSITION plus to address the issue. POSITION plus is a unique, hardware-based solution that consists of an acceleration sensor, a pressure sensor and a gyro sensor that together can calculate the vehicle’s current position based on the last known GPS location. The result is a more consistent and accurate position that helps provide interruption-free guidance under the most difficult of GPS reception conditions. Gesture command comes with all new nav-u devices and lets users jump to commands with one touch on the display. The new gesture command feature for forwarding photos lets users advance to the next picture, music track or video clip with a swipe of the finger from left to right across the screen. Other gesture commands include take me home, zoom in or out and call home.

You will be able to bring home the NV-U94T, NV-U84, NV-U74T and NV-U44 nav-u personal navigation devices from next month onwards for approximately $400, $350, $300 and $250 respectively.

WARNING: the gallery after the jump is probably NSFW.

What is that, a hair band? Nope, it's underwear -- a C-string. The misnamed C-string doesn't actually have any straps, it's kept on by hugging the vagina and buttcrack. Now that's sexy talk.

C-String has a flexible internal frame that hugs and holds it to the body both securely and comfortably. Your modesty remains safely covered at all times. At the front it looks like sexy underwear, to the rear it has a thong-style strip, and to the sides it has nothing at all!

Wow, this is best thing to happen to underwear since not wearing any. Each vagina-band costs about $26 and is guaranteed to turn heads, and also, my shoe camera.

Hit the jump for a NSFW Labor Day Weekend C-String Gallery Extravaganza!

In this week's Gadget Lab Podcast, Dylan Tweney, Daniel Dumas, and Brian Chen talk about the first big-time DSLR camera with HD video recording capabilities, the Nikon D90. With eye-Fi geolocation compatibility and new image transfer options, the D90 is one of the most hotly anticipated gadgets of late 2008.

In addition, they review the new Palm Treo Pro, and go over the final reports from the Gadget Lab's iPhone 3G survey. The final tally reports that Europeans have the fastest speeds, American have the most dropped calls, and 3G towers are being overloaded all over the country.

Finally, they pass on some rumors of a Nokia WiMax phone, and Brian goes trolling for a date with a certain Apple worker.

Nikon has a brand new digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera for the masses, and I can tell you from the start that this is not meant for folks who want to make an entry into the DSLR world, but it will target seasoned veterans instead. This digital camera will introduce a fair number of features that will make you fall in love with the D90 almost instantly, so get ready some tissue lest you drool all over your keyboard. The D90 is the culmination of years of experience from the folks at Nikon, placing great emphasis on brilliant image quality and versatility with its exclusive advanced Scene Recognition System. More on the D90 right after the jump.

Make no mistake about it - the D90 is not meant to be a flagship model, although it does draw plenty of inspiration from the D300, a DX-format digital SLR camera. Of course, judging by the model number alone, you can tell that this is the successor to the D80 and will come with a 12.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor for you to capture crisp and clear shots. In addition, the D90 will ship with Nikon’s very own EXPEED image processing system to deliver outstanding images with fine details, smooth tones, brilliant colors and low noise across a broad ISO range.

Another feature would be the ability to compose great looking shots thanks to the Live View Mode on the generous 3″ 920,000-dot high-resolution LCD screen. You also have the benefit of an 11-point auto focus (AF) system that makes use of Nikon’s exclusive Scene Recognition System and Face Detection in order to help even the unlearned shutterbug (who happens to have a damn good camera to boot) shoot pictures that aren’t anything to be sneezed at. Other features include the versatile AF-S NIKKOR 18-105mm Vibration Reduction image stabilization lens, and a burst rate of up to 4.5 frames per second in order to capture sudden and fast moments - too bad Nikon did not release this before the recently concluded summer Olympics, or you could’ve gotten a shot of Usain Bolt creating history three times at the Bird’s Nest.

The Nikon D90 will be released in the US from September onwards, retailing for $999.95 just for the body alone, while you have to fork out $1,299.95 for the body and lens outfit, including the new AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.
