Tomorrow, September 8th, is the day when Sony Ericsson will announce the G705 aka Kumiko. The G705 which we've already seen will have a 3.2 megapixel with LED flash, HSUPA, 3G video calls, and M2 memory card support.

Besides the phone Sony Ericsson is said to launch a few accessories too. The Bluetooth Car Kit HCB-108 and the Digital Photo Frame IDP-100. Some people say that the unconfirmed Walkman phone Eian might get released too.

Odds are, if you are 4 to 6 year old girl in Japan (editor’s note: Anyone here fit that demo?), you are probably obsessed with the Toei Studios animation series Yes! Pre Cure 5 and its sequel Yes! Pre Cure 5 GoGo, now airing on TV Asahi. The current story follows 5 young heroines (the Pre Cure, literally Pretty Cure, team) in a magical world as they work to protect the Cure Rose Garden, by searching for the four kings who hold the keys to the secret paradise.

While the story is pretty standard fantasy fare, the accompanying merchandise is a far cry from the dolls, t-shirts, and tiaras marketed to previous generations of girls. The top three best selling tie-in items all come from Bandai and none of them are cuddly.

Top of the list is the Henshin Keitai (transformation mobile) Curemo, a multi-mode toy that mimics the functions of a mobile phone.

The first, “shot mode,” is activated by turning the top of the handset sideways (like many mobiles). A creature from the anime appears on the screen and players try to “capture” its image when it smiles, a direct shot means the creature could turn into one of the sought after kings or a useful item. “Dekakeru (“go out”) mode” summons “Syrup,” the Pre Cure team’s magical bird of transportation, for a ride to another land. “Phone mode” brings simulated telephone correspondence from the characters to the screen and “communication mode” allows transference of items between Curemo users, in a manner that mimics contact info transfer by infra-red between real mobile phones.

The next popular product is the Rosepact, a flip-up device with a pen touch panel that, like the Curemo, involve simples games to acquire items to help the kings; in fact, items can be transferred between the two.

Rounding out the top three is the Mirukyu Plate (short for Milky Cure, one of the characters), a hand held plastic device with wand that, when touched to panels, activates a recording of character voices and an LED light display. That isn’t to say that Bandai is offering more standard costume fare, but it is the digitized toys that are selling.

Through toys like this, the newest generation of girls is learning to express their admiration for the favorite characters through digital means, leaving little doubt that they will be well-primed to embrace whatever digital lifestyle items are marketed their way in the future.

What is the first thing to do? It would be CPR.

The problem is not everybody knows how to perform a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR. So it is definitely a good thing that there is a tool that can help us with the basic steps of CPR. It is a simple LED flashlight that can teach you the proper way of doing a CPR just by touching a button.

A clear and calm female voice gives the instructions which vary depending on the age of the person who needs the procedure. There are specific instructions intended for an adult, a child and a baby. There is also a pause button which can be used in order to not miss anything of the vital steps.

This LED flashlight is powered by two AAA batteries and is 4 inches long. The instructions given by this device are based on the AHA 2005 guidelines.

It’s designed to educate the owner about their power consumption. The lamp sports integrated WiFi which wirelessly keeps track of you home’s power usage. When you turn the lamp on, it will change colors and flash to tell you what your home’s power consumption is.

It’s no accident that it looks like a houseplant as a metaphor for how plants are powered by sunlight through photosynthesis. The Spark Lamp was created in reaction to the Swedish’s government response to the energy crisis. In Sweden, future homes will have smart meters that will give real-time feedback to homeowners on the internet. But data on a website is not all that engaging so the Spark lamp was developed to enhance the experience.

Regular boring gets you a quick trip to irrelevancy. Dell boring, on the other hand, gets your product onto the desktops of a million cubicle drones the world over. And that's probably where we'll see these pre-release products from Dell. The safe, non-threatening design reminded TechWareLabs of Logitech, which makes sense given the G3/G5 design cues, but we at Gizmodo practically fell asleep. The LED indicator is pretty, but unless you're a typist into some serious keystroke entry porn, we imagine you can easily hold off on buying these and just use them when they show up at work in a few months. Well I got it the day before I left, so I didnt have time to use prior to getting to California. I get to california with my ipod at about half battery and go to charge it and the little red light turns on and Im thinking "great, this was a great deal for this"...Well, not so much. Yes the little red light turned on and pretended to charge. We left and came back expecting it fully charged, and come to see that it did nothing. So then I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it didnt work at all. Not even the red light came on. So I had to make sure for the rest of my trip that the times I used my ipod were seldom. Im disappointed, but then again, for the item and being shipped, what can I expect for $3?

Great Investment (2008-08-03)
I was very happy with this product because now I have options for charging my device. It works great with my iPod and charges it fast. I like this because I don't have to plug it into my computer throught the usb cord. It is a cheaper alternative to having to buy the $30 adapter that lets you plug in the usb cord to the adapter. Over all, this is a great product at a low price.

tags : gadget

I spent $2,200 to get the new Sony Vaio Z12GN/B from VAIO ATMCOM store (Sony’ dealer) at Ratu Plaza, Jakarta, and I thing I am the first customer of Z series in Indonesia, sure they called me as soon as this sleek, lightweight and powerful laptop arrived. Since Sony Unleashed the Z series back in July in the U.S., a month later I mentioned that I really want this laptop but i wonder when the Z will arrive in Indonesia. And a week later I realized that Sony has launched the Z series along with the SR and FW series at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta on 21st August 2008.

The Sony Vaio Z12GN/B comes with Windows Vista Business by default but it also packed with Windows XP SP2 CD installation in case we want to downgrade, but I decided to run Vista. But unlike what it’s said that the Z series comes with 13.1″ LED backlit display (1600×900 resolution), my Z12 comes with 13.1 Wide (1600×900) TFT Color display, I wonder if it is the same or not, Sony please explain to me!
