Considering how relatively mundane a device like this is today, it's funny to see the expression on the face of our PBS neighbor. He looks like he's somewhere between approaching a hostile animal and regretting that last hit of acid he dropped the night before. But humor aside, we should also take a moment to honor the other man in the video— synthesizer pioneer Bruce Haack.

Bruce Haack is up there with the likes of Leon Theramin, Robert Moog, Kraftwerk and Raymond Scott when it comes to electronic music. Throughout the 60s, Haack produced some of the earliest pieces of music in the genre, and despite not having a tech background, built many of his own synthesizers—including one that made noise by running a current through human bodies. According to the always authoritative Wikipedia, he was doing Mescaline with Native Americans when he was eight years old. That's awesome.
The guy in shades featured above is dutch kids TV presenter Leon Krijgsman, seen driving through the streets in a Ferrari F1 racer is in fact driving a real life working kart made of Lego! Comprised of 80,000 Lego bricks, this 1:8 scale Ferrari F1 racer was unveiled in the Netherlands for a special Lego event that started last week.

If you’re a big Lego fan like me, you must be really jealous of Leon right now, fortunately I couldn’t find a video of him driving, because that would make me feel even worse!

Apparently LEGO made a Ferrari to promote LEGO World in Holland. Per the google-y translated article:

The Lego tends to be quite creative in their communication. Since the adhesive ground up operations in buildings. To promote the event Lego World in Holland was no different. The presenter of children's programs Leon Krijgsman parade through the streets of Amsterdam with a Ferrari made of Lego.

The "toy" in actual size was mounted with 80 thousand pieces, celebrates the anniversary of the famous brand of toys and will be exposed in the event which runs from 16 to 23 this month.

That made no sense but who cares, it's a LEGO Ferrari with 80,000 pieces. Wow. But the question remains: does it run? Ha, of course it does, it's built out of fucking LEGO.

Hit the jump for two more.

Resident Evil, the survival horror franchise that really got things moving for the genre is back, this time round targeting the mobile platform known as N-Gage. Resident Evil Degeneration will feature a couple of separate play modes, different mission types as well as 3D quality graphics. I'll have to be rather skeptical about the graphics segment as we all know that cell phones aren't exactly the best platform when it comes to stunning graphics in video games. The storyline remains more or less the same, where terrorists have taken hold of a deadly virus, releasing it at a US airport with Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield hoping to stop the carnage before it spreads elsewhere. [Press Release]

Back in August of last year, we wrote Nokia and Capcom has signed a deal do “mobilize” some of the popular Capcom games.

Just recently that partnership has been officially confirmed and the two companies announced they will release Resident Evil Degeneration on N-Gage later this year.

According to the official release, the upcoming game will feature two separate play modes, multiple mission types and 3D quality graphics. Storyline is known as well - terrorists have releases a deadly virus at a US airport, and two heroes, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, attempt to destroy it [virus] and prevent it from being dispersed across the country.

Yes, it sounds cool and yes I will give it a try, have no doubts about it.
