The image associated with this post is best viewed using a browser.Tonight in Denver, Panasonic revealed its newest plasma technology, the 65" custom-install-only VX100 monitor, whose specs meet or beat Pioneer's hallowed Kuro. That means 60,000:1 contrast ratio with 7,160 shades of gradation for visible detail in the darker shadows. At 65 inches, you will pay $10,000 a panel, but not to worry: Panasonic will roll out a 50 incher soon, which is sure to be (a teeny tiny tad) cheaper. We sat in a dark room and got to compare the VX100 with its predecessor, the 65PF. Though the results in the room were startlingly vivid, you can get a sense of what's going on here in our still shots:If you're really crazy about TV technology, jump for a second gallery of slides from the presentation—but, as they say on MythBusters, there's some "science content" ahead, so put the drink down and focus...

Though the first buyers will likely be rich dudes, the movie business is also going to be interested in it as a monitor, since it can handle 120% of the HDTV color gamut, enough to maybe get a good looking movie on a TV for one damn time. And let's not forget that Pioneer has shut down its own panel production lines and plans to go with Panasonic's. I asked if Pioneer would get a shot at the sweet new one—though there wasn't a straight answer, the sense I got was "probably not, at least not at first." Go Panasonic, kicking some TV ass!

Moncton town with a population of about 130 thousand people located in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It is among the ten fastest-growing cities in the country, highlight the high standard of living. Moncton often called "core city" (Hub City), because it is located in the heart of Atlantic Canada provinces and has long acted as an important land transport hub. In order to enhance the attractiveness of Moncton for entrepreneurs and private citizens, the authorities decided to build a city in the central part of its municipal Wi-Fi network with free access. In doing so should have been, on the one hand, to do so within a limited budget and ensuring maximum low operating costs, and on the other hand - lay the possibility of subsequent expansion of the network.

Based on a decision was taken Cisco Wireless Mesh Network. Standard wireless network, in which each access point is directly connected with a support network, requires the laying of cables set, which naturally has a high innovative expenses, while wireless mesh-network dynamically route packets, sending them from one node to another. In doing so, only a few access points, known as "root", connected to the wired network, while the rest are connected only with each other on wireless channels through mesh-technology. Moreover, wireless mesh-network Cisco has centralized management. It uses wireless LAN-controllers Cisco, which monitor the work of all network components using software Wireless Control System (WCS).

Once in six central city Wi-Fi network has earned, residents have become actively Monktona its use. The new network came to court local hotels, shops and cafeteria, which immediately benefited from new urban services. Now small businesses can defer part of their daily business in the Internet, to improve the quality of customer service and reduce operating costs. Wi-Fi network works on open ground, and inside buildings, increasing the productivity of municipal employees who can easily communicate with each other using mobile devices, moving freely through the city centre.

How lucky to be Americans because Sharp has decided to launch the D65U series of LCD HDTV statesides in October 2008. The LCD TV offers a native resolution of 1080p, Energy Star-compliant, active backlight and contrast controls and 176-degrees viewing angle. There are also a total of five HDMI ports, two composite inputs, one S-video, and PC-in. The monitor also adopts Sharp’s Advanced Super View and Black TFT Panel technologies. The Sharp Aquos D65U LCD TVs are priced at between $1600 to $2400, depending on the screen’s size. When we waltzed over to have a gander at LG's recently priced BD300, one of the reps on hand wasn't so keen on letting us take close-ups. Not one to just roll over and accept a command, we casually walked over to the other BD300 kiosk, flashed the Engadget gang sign to the much kinder rep, and continued on to snap a few shots of the new box. The unit set up was fully functional and able to stream Netflix movies, and it even detected the network connection before playing in order to deliver the best quality without introducing skips and stutters. Feel free to get all up in your monitor when checking out the gallery over at Engadet HD, we won't hassle ya. In the past, you’ve gotten used to a noisy, mechanical spinning computer hard drive. But now, a new age breaking technology is born. Introducing the new solid state hard drive. With no moving parts, solid-state drives are inherently less fragile than hard disks and therefore also silent ; as there are no mechanical delays, they usually enjoy low access time and latency. Giving you the ultimate pc experience.

Features:

Low power consumption.

Extremely fast write.

Faster start-up, as no spin-up is required.

No noise: a lack of moving parts makes SSDs completely silent.

The price? Well, around $500.00

NEC offers a new eco-friendly LCD screen, the MultiSync EA221WM. This 22inch monitor features a 1,680×1,050 resolution (WSXGA), a viewing angle of 176 degrees, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a 250 cd/m² brightness level, four-way adjustable stand (110mm height, tilt, swivel, pivot), and down-firing speakers with headphone jack. There are also four USB 2.0 hub, HDCP via DVI, and HDMI-compatible via adapter. It is a green LCD display which means it requires less power to operate.
16:9 display are all the race in the PC industry and the Dell S2409W seems like a good 1080p monitor. Its design is simple and you can see that the "image" should be the main point of focus. From a technical perspective, it has HDMI, DVI and VGA connections. It is possible to attach a pair of speakers as well, although I would probably recommend something fancier, if you really want to exploit's the surround sound from Blu-Ray movies.
