I am a sucker for a good chess set and there really are millions out there to choose form, but I kinda like this one. Let’s face it, chess is a pretty geeky game and to geekify it anymore is an achievement that requires recognition.

The pixel drink coasters are nothing if not eye-catching, but they have another feature that makes them very, very cool. They can be cut to any shape that one pleases. Remember Microsoft hired Seinfeld to do advertising for their new $300 Million campaign?

Here’s the new Bill Gates and Seinfeld TV commercial which I did get to see yesterday for the first time and looks like bunch of people uploaded it to Youtube.

First look tells me that this ad really sucks in comparison to Apple.  There’s not enough “juice” going on to even understand what they are advertising.  (Good advertising should be funny even with the sound off, try watching this ad without sound, it’s BORING!)

Bill Gates will have to do a lot better than this.  It would be cool if he was skydiving or somethin’ with Jerry Seinfeld and then Bill Gates gets squashed by Seinfeld on landing. :)

The typical watch with a house-sized price tag looks pretty cool, but I have to say that the Parmigiani Bugatti Faubourg really doesn’t do it for me. It is a massive chunk of heavy metal to be wearing on your wrist that quite frankly doesn’t hold a candle to the other $233,900 watches on the market. Unfortunately, for Nokia and their shareholders, the company has announced today that they expect their market share to drop in Q3.

Nokia blames a weak global economy for the revision to their third-quarter outlook. The news sent Nokia shares tumbling 11% (as of 1443 GMT), leaving the world’s largest cellphone manufacturer trading at a three-year low.

On the upside, Nokia says that it expects to see its full-year 2008 market share increasing ever so slightly. At the end of the day, it’s all about how a company fairs in the long-term. Quarterly financial wobbles can be indicators of underlying corporate problems, but in Nokia’s case, we’ll see the Finns pull through.

These Caravan Pods are collapsible and can fit into standard car parking spaces. They are designed to be cool city-getaway for young professionals, while being light enough to be towed by small cars. The Pods are divided into two compartments, The Comfort Pod which provides seating and sleeping space for two adults, with a 12 volt power supply and audio system and the Service Pod offers a water system, power supply and storage space for personal items.
