Is that a Wii-mote in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? That’s the question your friends will be asking when you pop these mini Wii controller keychains into your pants.

These weensy Wii-motes (just 2.25″ tall) don’t just look cool. They each project a cartoon image from Mario Kart on your when you jam on the “1″ button.

In addition to Mario, there are versions with Luigi, Wario, Princess Peach, Yoshi and Baby Mario. If you collect all six, you could project an illuminated Mario Kart puppet show on your wall. How cool would that be?

These unique collectibles are officially licensed by Nintendo, and available in limited quantities over at ThinkGeek for just $5.99 each.

Star Wars arts and crafts: I just can't get enough of that shit. It's like juice, but not liquid and nowhere near as sugary. Actually, I'm trying to limit my juice intake because I've been drinking too much lately and it's making me run up the walls. Well, not literally. Yes literally! I fell and hurt myself pretty badly. Broke the coffee table. And a cat. Anyway, today on Etsy we have some $5 patterns to make your own crochet Darth Vader and lightsabers, a $12 finger puppet Yoda, and a $950 sequin Darth Maul "painting". Hit up the jump to see them all. And then hit up your parents up for some beer money. Then we can go drink by the train tracks!

If you read the comic book, you're going to love the first full cinematic trailer for next year's Watchmen Movie. It gets a little confusing, filled as it is with explosions and voiceovers, but the key plot parts will make you shiver -- the Comedian's murder, Rorschach being, well, the usual sociopathic Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan's Martian palace are all pitch-perfect.

What gets us, though, is the look of the movie. Just like Lord of the Rings, it seems that the production team has actually managed to take the book and transfer it to the screen intact. I'm rather embarrassingly excited about this movie (I'm a fan -- I have most of the original comic books in a suitcase somewhere back in Blighty) but there is one problem. Dr Manhattan looks terrible, like a Tron-era talking computer puppet. Rorschach though – always the best character – looks awesome.

Yes, the photo above is real: It is Animal—from The Muppets—driving a British Audi while speeding through a German road. The famous pink drummer is driving the police there absolutely crazy, because he keeps doing it again and again. Or better said, the real driver is, using a low-tech approach to take advantage of a weak point of the radar cameras. I don't know about you, but this image makes me laugh out loud. The German police, however, wasn't amused when they explained to the press how the whole joke worked and how they couldn't fine the driver because of it:

The number plate is not enough [to catch and fine the driver]. We need clear evidence of who is driving the vehicle too. But because this is a British vehicle we can never get a decent picture [because he radar cameras are designed to take photos of the passengers in the left seat, not the right]. The driver has obviously worked this out because he has placed a large puppet in the passenger seat.

This may be an example of the famous British sense of humour but it is still dangerous driving. The driver has been caught on camera on several occasions and the puppet is on the passenger seat every time. We suspect he positions the toy deliberately before accelerating past the camera.

I don't know why are they making a big deal of this, quite honestly. At least Animal is not actually driving. We really, really like where this is going. First came the Zune puppet rap vid, followed by the equally astounding Large Hadron Collider joint. Now, we've got a video for all you G1 pre-orderers that's sure to get your noggin' bobbin' as you <strike>patiently</strike> await the arrival of Android. And just as any true rap should, it unashamedly bashes the iPhone, Instinct and most every other "rival" on the market today. The best 3 minutes and 56 seconds of your day are about to occur -- click on past the break and get it going. When the earth warms and the forests turn to dust, at least the robots will remain to re-oxygenate the Earth. The Chonnam National University developed robotic plant (pictured above holding a human child puppet) from Korea stands over four-feet tall; consists of a pot, stem, and five meat-eating buds; and emits oxygen, moisture, and even an aroma of human effluence, we presume. As people approach the "flower," the robot bends towards the person and begins to bloom and slightly shake in response to the startled victim's voice rising from a mute whimper to an alarmist howl. The robot also responds to music and light by dancing and opening and closing its petals in some kind of victory celebration. Project leader Park John-oh suggests building a robot garden from his creation -- sure, we'll get right on that just as soon as we get our Doomsday Machine back on-line.

[Via Hallyu Technology]

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

In the fat-streaked palace of the meat king, everything is made from the pulsing musculature of putrefying flesh. The meat king dreams his sirloin dreams upon a chaise longue carved from pancetta, bathes in drippings in his sirloin tub, contemplates the meaning of the universe upon his pork-hewn toilet and licks the gristle from the cheeks of his meat puppet concubines. Even electronics are not ignored: sinuous musculature conducts 3G signals amply, and SPAM-sliced USB stick holds the incriminating evidence of the leberkase liege's secret fetish: 4GBs of secret cheese porn, mostly focused on extreme close-ups of the gaping air holes of immature Swiss emmentalers.
