Asovision has a brand new toy to go along with the current Olympics fever - the 5 Second Stadium Toy. This toy is but a simple stopwatch that aims to get your internal clock down to pat, where the whole objective is to press the button at exactly 5 seconds. There is no reward when that happens - no fireworks or streamers being popped, nor will you get a gold medal. All you will have to make do with is the satisfaction of knowing you did it. I suppose any standard watch with a stopwatch function could step in for this toy, but if you're a person who likes dedicated devices, this is it.

The Lunocet is a hydrofoil for your feet, a kind of swishing fishtail that will propel you through the water like Aquaman.

The device clamps on to the feet, which are kept together, and when you kick, the tail flexes. Instead of just relying on your legs to push the water out of the way and thereby provide propulsion, the Lunocet acts more like an airplane wing and actually provides an airfoil-style "lift" which pushes you along.

This carbon-fiber and silicone toy is fast, too. In top gear (there are six speeds, adjustable while you swim) a strong swimmer should be able to leap from the water and clear the surface. That sounds awesome. Just how fast is it? According to the "LunoFAQS", you can hit 8 mph. That's almost double the speed of Michael Phelps at full tilt.

The Lunocet sounds like amazing fun, but it comes at a price. The basic configuration is a rather steep $1250 so, like Jetskis, this might be best rented by the day from your local beach club.

They're one of those fun, impractical vehicles that make much more sense as a remote controlled toy than as a legitimate mode of transportation. But what if you don't want to pay top dollar for a fancy remote controlled hovercraft? Make it yourself from junk, of course!
The workings of a hovercraft are fairly straightforward: one high-power motor with an airplane propeller forces air down through the hole in the center, which pushes the bottom of the hovercraft off the ground. This greatly reduces friction, allowing the hovercraft to scoot around without much trouble...The body of the hovercraft is made out of styrofoam, cut with a saw and sanded to smooth the edges. The skirt on the bottom is made out of pieces of a plastic GAP bag, attached with Scotch tape and hot glue. The radio control unit was scavenged from an old boat I had, along with the drive motor mounted on the wooden supports, while the lifting motor was from my physics teacher. The battery is 300 mAh 6V NiMH (or NiCd, I forget), and I have a pair of them. They were about $6-$10 each (again, forgot) and about $12 for the 2 1/2 hour charger. The servomotor for steering was from an old RC car I had.
How awesome is this? If you're feeling crafty, head on over to the website to see how to make one for yourself.

The gun itself is based off of Japanese Ray Guns of the 1950s—as is a bunch of the retro stylings of the Futurama set—but updated to include your favorite starship captain. It also comes with a NRRA membership card in case you need to get a table really fast at Applebee's.

If you do not yet have a memory card reader (unthinkable for this day and age), then why not get cute with the USB Koala Card Reader? This model supports only the SD family (SD, SDHC, MMC, miniSD, microSD - the latter two will require an SD adapter), so if you’re rocking to any other memory card formats, you’re out of luck. What looks like an ordinary koala toy that is placed on your computer monitor can be decapitated, revealing a USB connector at the neck area while you push in your SD memory card right into the top of its head. Connect it to a PC and you’re good to go. This cute little piece of tech can be yours for $12.
[ USB Koala Card Reader copyright by Coolest Gadgets ]
If you are a kind woman who loves to have a dash of weapon look in their accessories, then gun earrings by Milan designer Georgo Phillip Pecenikov is the right thing for you. They are a little expensive around 165 dollars as each piece is hand cast in silver and plated with rhodium.

"Don't play with guns. Don't do drugs. Instead...Toy Me! Milan designer Georgo Phillip Pecenikov--a.k.a. Gogo--comes from a family of traditional high-end jewelry artisans, but uses his knowledge to create edgy statements that evoke a wink. (aplusrstore)."
